Pantothenic acid, therefore, is necessary for the formation and healing of damaged skin and mucous membranes. The drug has a hydrophilic cream base, which is why it is quickly absorbed by the skin, therefore it is suitable for treating wet wounds, unprotected skin areas (for example, facial skin) and skin areas covered with hair. Dexpanthenol is rapidly absorbed when applied externally.In skin cells, dexpanthenol is immediately converted to pantothenic acid and added to the endogenous pool of this vitamin. In the blood, pantothenic acid binds to? -Globulin and plasma albumin. In healthy adults, the concentration is about 500-1000 and 100 mg / l in blood and plasma, respectively.
